( hindi) GREEDY KING (english)

There was a greedy king in a distant country.  He was greedy to be king until he died, and not to give up his throne to others.  Fearing that someone would revolt against him, he recruited spies throughout the state and heard from them on a daily basis.  One time a spy came to the king and told him that most of the citizens of the state were sleeping at night and in that dream they were talking about being the king of the state. 

 An angry king, knowing that no one wanted to be a king even in a dream, ordered all the dreamers to arrest him and take their eyes off him.  Days rolled by.  He started catching all those who dreamed of being statewide.  

Hundreds of people began to go blind.

   Foreshadowing the worsening of the matter, the chief minister devised a strategy to educate the king.  Accordingly he rose one early in the morning and told the king that he had a dream.  He took the Mahantri to the king. 

Then the minister addressed the king, saying that in his dream he was invaded by the kingdoms of the empire, and that all our soldiers were blind, and that they were not blind to their attack and surrendered.  The Maharaja listened to the minister and sat down. 

 He ceased to tear the eyes of the citizens ever since he knew that it would be the next day, if he would take away the eyes of hundreds of people every day, and lovingly rule over the citizens as their own children.

                      लालची राजा।  

दूर देश में एक लालची राजा था।  वह राजा होने के लिए लालची था जब तक वह मर नहीं गया, और दूसरों को अपना सिंहासन नहीं छोड़ना था।  डर है कि कोई उसके खिलाफ विद्रोह करेगा, उसने पूरे राज्य में जासूसों की भर्ती की और दैनिक आधार पर उनसे सुना।  

एक बार एक जासूस राजा के पास आया और उसे बताया कि राज्य के अधिकांश नागरिक रात में सो रहे थे और उस सपने में वे राज्य के राजा होने की बात कर रहे थे।  एक क्रोधी राजा, यह जानकर कि कोई भी सपने में भी राजा नहीं बनना चाहता था, उसने सभी सपने देखने वालों को उसे गिरफ्तार करने और अपनी आँखें बंद करने का आदेश दिया।  

दिन लुढ़क गए।  उसने उन सभी को पकड़ना शुरू कर दिया जो राज्यव्यापी होने का सपना देखते थे।  सैकड़ों लोग अंधे होने लगे।

   मामले की बिगड़ती स्थिति को देखते हुए, मुख्यमंत्री ने राजा को शिक्षित करने की रणनीति तैयार की।  तदनुसार वह सुबह जल्दी उठा और राजा को बताया कि उसका एक सपना था। 

 वह महंत को राजा के पास ले गया।  तब मंत्री ने राजा को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि उसके सपने में साम्राज्य के राज्यों द्वारा आक्रमण किया गया था, और हमारे सभी सैनिक अंधे थे, और वे अपने हमले के लिए अंधे नहीं थे और आत्मसमर्पण किया।  

महाराजा ने मंत्री की बात सुनी और बैठ गए।  वह तब से नागरिकों की आंखों से आंसू बहाना बंद कर देता है क्योंकि वह जानता था कि यह अगले दिन होगा, अगर वह हर दिन सैकड़ों लोगों की आंखें निकाल लेगा, और नागरिकों पर प्यार से अपने बच्चों के रूप में शासन करे
